At the time of its planting in 1996, Saint Nicholas Mission was under that pastoral guidance of Archbishop Roland Louis Salvador and affiliated with the Archdiocese of Fairhaven, Massachusetts.

From September 2001 until September 2017,Saint Nicholas Mission was under the pastoral guidance of Bishop David Dismas and affiliated with the Diocese of Rumney Marsh, Massachusetts.  

From the Spring of 2002 until our hiatus began in 2017, Saint Nicholas Mission also maintained an affiliation with the International Council of Community Churches. ​

As we emerge from our hiatus, we are considering a number of options for affiliation as well as the possibility of remaining independent.
